Over 550 Institute of Continuing & TESOL Education (ICTE-Õ¬Äе¼º½) students have ranked their ICTE-Õ¬Äе¼º½ experience as one of the best in Australia.

The results are part of recently released findings from the 2011 i-Graduate English Language Barometer (ELB) survey; an independent, Australia-wide study.

The study surveyed close to 8,000 English language students at 49 public and private sector English language colleges, including 27 university providers in Australia.

Each student was asked to rank their college across 50 separate learning, lifestyle and student support satisfaction measures.

ICTE-Õ¬Äе¼º½ Director Ms Christine Bundesen said the survey results tell a great story for ICTE-Õ¬Äе¼º½ and for the Institute's students and program participants.

"The i-Graduate ELB results see ICTE-Õ¬Äе¼º½ consistently ranked as above national Australian average standards across all of the survey's individual learning satisfaction measures.

"These kinds of results demonstrate that ICTE-Õ¬Äе¼º½ students are enjoying an incredibly rewarding, teaching and learning experience," Ms Bundesen said.

Ms Bundesen said the learning satisfaction measures in which ICTE-Õ¬Äе¼º½ scored the highest included the teaching ability of the Institute's teachers, the availability of personal learning support, the quality of course content, and the standard of teaching and learning facilities.

In living satisfaction measures the Institute scored well above the national average for the quality of its accommodation placement services, social activities and student's feeling welcome, safe and secure.

The students also ranked the Õ¬Äе¼º½ St Lucia campus as well above the national average for surrounding environment.

The survey also revealed that ICTE-Õ¬Äе¼º½ students believe that their tuition fees provide excellent value for money, that their study experience has exceeded their expectations and that a very high number would recommend ICTE-Õ¬Äе¼º½ to others.

Ms Bundesen said that the Institute's strong survey results were of particular importance in the current industry environment of tuition discounts.

"Rather than offering tuition discounts in order to attract students, ICTE-Õ¬Äе¼º½ has chosen to continue to focus on maintaining the Institute's high standards and commitment to quality," Ms Bundesen said.

"These i-Graduate survey results show that ICTE-Õ¬Äе¼º½ students are recognising that because a high quality study experience delivers significantly more for their tuition dollar, it also delivers much better value for money."

The performance of the Institute's TESOL operations in the 2011 i-Graduate ELB capped off a stellar year of recognition for the Institute including being named as Australia's leading education and training exporter and winner of two prestigious export awards - the Premier of Queensland's Export Award (Education & Training) and the Australian Export Award (Education & Training).
