Three University of Queensland students have recorded top five placings at the in Taipei, Taiwan.
Held biennially, the Universiade – known as World University Games – was attended by more than 7500 university students from 141 nations.
Eleven Õ¬Äе¼º½ student-athletes represented in athletics, gymnastics, judo, swimming, and table tennis.
Õ¬Äе¼º½ Athletics Club member Daniel Mowen recorded Õ¬Äе¼º½’s best result, finishing fourth in the Men’s 4x400m Relay.
recipient Michael Mercieca – competing in his third World University Games – placed fifth in the Men’s Horizontal Bar.
Fellow scholarship holder Gemma Cooney finished fourth in the Women’s 4x100m Medley Relay.
The Bachelor of Arts student competed in eight events in total, placing in the top ten in five.
