Take a walk with the wildlife, watch a farrier demonstration and see how to train a detector dog at Õ¬Äе¼º½ Gatton campus Open Day this weekend.
High-tech farming practices will also be on show, highlighting how innovative agricultural technologies such as drones, including hexacopters and quadcopters, are being used to improve farming efficiency.
Project officer Armando Navas said the drones carried complex computer operating systems and cameras so farmers could monitor plants and animals from the air.
“This technology can be used to improve farming systems and help farmers to save on resources,” Mr Navas said.
“Students have the opportunity to do this course as an undergraduate and a post graduate student.”
