Õ¬Äе¼º½ has been ranked in the top 50 in the (ARWU).
Õ¬Äе¼º½ increased four places in the 2022 results to now being ranked 47th in the world, one of only two Australian universities in the top 50.
University Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry said it was an outstanding achievement in one of the sector’s most trusted league tables.
“Again, the University’s researchers and academics have done Queensland and Australia proud, cementing Õ¬Äе¼º½’s reputation for world-leading research,” Professor Terry said.
“The ARWU rank is a testament to Õ¬Äе¼º½’s high quality research outputs, including a higher indicator score for publishing in the prestigious Nature and Science journals over the past 5 years.
“More than 2500 universities are ranked and results for the best 1000 are published, so to be 47 in such illustrious company is an honour.”
Õ¬Äе¼º½ performed strongly in the highly cited research indicator, a key component in the ARWU results.
“This is a really important measure of the quality of research being conducted at universities and shows Õ¬Äе¼º½’s depth of talent across a broad range of fields including immunology, microbiology, genomics and materials science.”
