Õ¬Äе¼º½ has jumped three places to 42nd in the world and third in Australia in the assessment of the world’s top universities.
Õ¬Äе¼º½ Vice-Chancellor Professor Peter Høj said the result was testament to The University’s commitment to world-class endeavours.
“To be ranked 42nd out of the world’s best-performing 1,250 universities in more than 75 countries is a fantastic achievement,” he said.
“In the past five years Õ¬Äе¼º½ has collaborated with 175 US institutions on more than 330 research projects, and we currently have close to 900 American students enrolled.
“It is gratifying to again have Õ¬Äе¼º½ recognised internationally in the influential US ranking, and to be confirmed as one of the nation’s top three universities.”
The Best Global Universities ranking also highlights Õ¬Äе¼º½’s improving performance in some academic subject areas.
