Õ¬Äе¼º½

21 December 2015

We couldn't wait any longer for the chance to share Õ¬Äе¼º½'s very own Christmas carol with you. Here it is in all its glory, complete with audio, featuring our very own Office of Marketing and Communications piper piping.

On the 12th day of Christmas, Õ¬Äе¼º½ gave to me:

  • 12 students cheering
  • 11 eleven ducks a swimming
  • 10 musicians playing
  • nine dancers dazzling
  • eight maids a milking (well, almost. How about one eight-legged maid being milked for spider venom?)
  • seven students splashing
  • six grads a leaping
  • five golden rings (squid, from Õ¬Äе¼º½'s refectory)
  • four battery packs (powering Õ¬Äе¼º½'s Global Change Institute)
  • three sea stars
  • two river turtles and
  • a glider in a gum tree.

Renowned Õ¬Äе¼º½ historian and classical scholar Professor Alastair Blanshard () ponders the meaning of the original carol here.
