Õ¬Äе¼º½’s , has been appointed to the Council of the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS).
She was one of five new members announced by Education and Training Minister Christopher Pyne last week.
“The institute holds the pre-eminent collection of Australian Indigenous cultural material,” Mr Pyne said.
“Throughout its rich history, AIATSIS has demonstrated a continuing commitment to providing Indigenous communities and researchers from around the world with access to this unique heritage and gives crucial advice to industry and government.
“These new appointees will bring added cultural, financial, legal and research expertise to the AIATSIS Council.
“I am sure that the council will benefit from their contributions, talent and expertise.”
The appointments are for four-year terms.
