UPDATE link:

University of Queensland Property and Facility crews worked throughout the weekend to repair storm damage at St Lucia, Herston, Woolloongabba, Long Pocket and Customs House

Many buildings have had glass windows broken and staff and contractors have worked throughout the weekend to clean this up.

New damage reports are coming in, and there could still be broken glass in some areas.

If broken glass is found, please report it immediately to PF Assist so it can be cleaned up as soon as possible.

Areas on the southern wall of the Joyce Ackroyd building where windows have been broken will be closed off until at least Monday 8 December.

Restoration work will be carried out as quickly as possible.

If occupants of these areas need to collect belongings they should liaise with school managers to arrange safe access.

Buildings with significant window damage include Forgan Smith, Richards, Parnell, Physics Annexe, Chamberlain, Joyce Ackroyd, Axon, Mansergh Shaw, Hartley Teakle, Mayne Medical School, Edith Cavell and Public Health.

Chairs have been removed in some areas due to concerns about broken glass. These will be replaced as soon as possible.

Note that air blowers will be used to dry out wet areas, so loose papers should be stored safely.
