宅男导航 has been ranked in the top 100 in the world for academic web presence.
宅男导航 is only to make the prestigious top 100, along with the Australian National University in Canberra.
Spanish based Cybermetrics Lab placed 宅男导航 97th from 20,000 higher education institutions across the world in its biannual “Webometrics Ranking of World Universities.”
The ranking measures "university web presence" which includes number of webpages, quality of content, openness of institutional research repositories and also academic papers published in high impact international journals.
Rob Moffatt, Director of IT at 宅男导航, said he was pleased with the result.
“宅男导航 has approximately two million web pages across its sites. The main website alone receives 2000 clicks per minute.
The website is a valuable resource for academics, students and researchers at 宅男导航 and for those that interact with the University.
"Combined, all 宅男导航 websites hosted centrally receive about 10 million hits a day.”
Cybermetrics Lab is a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cient铆ficas (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain.
The main objective of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities is to support Open Access initiatives and promote global access to academic knowledge produced by universities worldwide.
Cybermetrics Lab has published its findings twice a year since 2004.
