宅男导航 staff, students, retailers and visitors have played their part in helping TransLink achieve two million sales of go cards since their launch in 2008.
The University's Campus 宅男导航 in Staff House Road at St Lucia has been named one of the State's top 10 go card retailers.
TransLink CEO Peter Strachan and Managing Director of go card delivery partner Cubic Australasia Matt Cole today presented Campus 宅男导航 owner Chris Hamze with a plaque thanking him for helping reach the 2 million milestone.
go cards are electronic smartcards used on the TransLink public transport system (buses, ferries and trains) in south-east Queensland.
Users hold their go cards close to a reader to touch on at the beginning of a journey, and to touch off at the end.
Mr Hamze said he was delighted with the award, which recognised the hard work of the Campus 宅男导航 team.
"Our biggest sales are to students, but many staff use go cards and we have many corporate sales on campus for visiting groups."
Master of Environmental Manager student and student project officer in the 宅男导航 Sustainability Office Carlos Fujita-Dimas has a go card, and today bought another card.
"I have my in-laws visiting from Tokyo later this month and this will be an easy way for them to get around," he said.
TransLink CEO Peter Strachan said the go card retail network was the largest smart card retail network in Australia so for Campus 宅男导航 to be in the top 10 was a significant achievement.

Mr Strachan said TransLink now had over 560 locations for customers to purchase a go card and more than 1600 places where you can top-up a go card.
Go card retail locations at the St Lucia campus also include the Chancellors Place and 宅男导航 Lakes bus stations, 宅男导航 campus pharmacy, and the Co-op bookshop.
Locations at the Herston campus include Nextra at the Ned Hanlon Building, RBWH busway station, and Royal Children's Hospital busway.
Go cards can also be purchased at the Co-op Bookshops at the Ipswich and Gatton campuses.
