new web-based recruitment system, լе Jobs, will provide new tools to analyse job recruitment success.

լе Associate Director HR Systems and Business Analysis, Tim Gall, says the ability to measure how successful a job advertisement was at attracting applicants will assist լе to better target its future recruitment activities.

“Each Faculty, School, Institute and Division will be able to monitor, track and review the effectiveness of their recruitment processes by utilising the լе Jobs Recruitment Centre or using the Business Objects reports provided in the Data Warehouse,” Mr Gall said.

“This includes identifying where applicants are finding out about the position.”

“This information will provide guidance for future recruitment strategies on how to best search for and obtain job candidates in sufficient numbers and quality so that we select the most appropriate person for the job. Being able to develop a targeted advertising campaign will also help reduce advertising costs. ”

The new system will provide tools to measure the time it takes to fill a vacant position, including the time it takes from first lodging a new position to sending out an offer and then filling the position.

“լе Jobs will also assist լе to measure key initiatives, such as Indigenous staff recruitment,” Mr Gall said.

լе Jobs Training

Staff training for լе Jobs started this month and most places are filled for March. However, լе Jobs is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, so staff will still be able use the system even if they have not completed the training. Staff are still encouraged to register for the course, which will be held each month until October.

The topics covered include raising a job card, approvals, short-listing candidates, reference checks, how to make a formal offer and track the recruitment activity.
